Scope

This policy applies to the PDFreevert website, file uploads, document conversion, result downloads, conversion-quality feedback, and support pages. It explains what information we process, why we process it, and how you can make privacy-related requests.

Information we process

We follow a data-minimization approach and process only the information required to operate the service. We do not collect file contents as a product feature or business objective.

• File information: original file name, format, size, job status, object-storage keys, expiration time, and other required metadata.
• Operational information: job ID, error code, processing time, and necessary security audit data. Logs should not contain file text, passwords, or signed download URLs.
• Conversion-quality feedback: the Good or Bad rating, layout, font, image, or table issue categories, optional problem description, language, and associated job ID you submit voluntarily. Feedback does not include the document and expires after 365 days by default.
• Contact information: the email address, issue description, and job ID you provide voluntarily, used only to respond and troubleshoot. Feedback expires after 365 days by default.
• Abuse-prevention information: the browser keeps a short-lived API access token for the current tab. The server temporarily rate-limits by client network address but does not store that address in the feedback table.

Website analytics and cookies

PDFreevert uses Google Analytics 4 on the production website only after you allow optional analytics, to measure page visits, traffic sources, device and browser categories, and aggregate events in the conversion flow. After conversion feedback is accepted, an analytics event may include the Good or Bad rating and selected issue categories, but never the free-text failure reason. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions. We do not send file names, file contents, job IDs, download URLs, passwords, contact-form content, or raw error messages in analytics events.

• Before you allow analytics, the site does not load Google Analytics and does not set _ga cookies for Google Analytics.
• After you allow analytics, Google Analytics may collect page URLs, referrers, usage time, browser and device categories, language, and approximate location, and uses _ga cookies to calculate user and session metrics.
• We disable Google signals and ad personalization and do not use analytics data for personalized advertising.
• You can change your choice through Privacy settings in the footer. After withdrawal, new analytics events are no longer sent; aggregate data already sent is handled according to the retention and deletion settings configured for the Google Analytics property.

How files are used

Uploaded files are used only to complete the conversion or organization action you selected. Files enter controlled storage, are processed by background jobs, and results are delivered through short-lived download URLs. By default, source files and result files are retained for 24 hours; if a deployment differs, the page and service configuration take precedence.

Storage and safeguards

File contents are stored separately from the application database, and download URLs use short-lived signatures. Upload access tokens are stored only as irreversible hashes, while API entry uses short-lived signed tokens; passwords are not written to ordinary logs. We use request rate limits, strict file validation, per-upload job limits, and a global queue limit to reduce automated abuse, and delete files or feedback after their retention period expires.

Your choices and requests

Files are deleted automatically when their configured retention period expires. You can also use the contact page to request earlier deletion, data access, correction, or other privacy support. To protect file security, we may need to verify the requester and job details first.

Policy updates

When data-processing methods, storage periods, or service features change materially, we will update this page date and content. Continuing to use the service means you have read the updated policy; if you do not agree, stop uploading files and contact us about related requests.
